Story: In 1984, Linda Hayes from Vancouver, Washington, walked into The Wooden Indian and left with a straw Shantung cowboy hat. Light and sharp, it was perfect for summer nights along the Columbia River. She wore it to country fairs, outdoor dances, and Sunday rides, the brim catching both sunlight and starlight. Over time, the hat became her signature—simple, strong, and full of the spirit of the Northwest.
