Our Story

Nearly 7 years ago today, Arabella & Alain found themselves designing and
directing a wellness ranch in Southern Arizona, surrounded by horses and the
rugged beauty of the desert landscape, wearing a hat became part of their
lifestyle.

During that time, they collected over 30 hats. Intrigued by the craftsmanship and design of each hat they embarked on a transformative journey to Ecuador and Oaxaca. When they returned to Tucson,
House of Hatters was born.

A Family Business Is Born

Driven by our love of travel and commitment to design, House
of Hatters became our passion project. Each year, we embark on a new adventure and location, collaborating with artisans from each place to create textiles, leather goods and craft a unique designs that tell a story of heritage,
aesthetic and nature.

Initially our success was slow, but then it grew, and we caught the attention of GQ, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, Hotels, Boutiques and companies that wanted to work with us.

From Online Store to Brick and Mortar

Recently our biggest inspiration is our community. A few years back we were about to throw in the towel. We only sold Ready-To-Wear Hats online. There was something missing. We realized the missing element was connection with our clients and followers. In response, we started the Build- Your- Own- Hat- Bar concept.

Now the experience of a custom hat bar allows us to connect with our community and create custom designs in a matter of minutes. We hear your story, bond and collaborate to create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your aesthetic and personality.
