Story: In Palm Springs, 1979, Ray Martinez slid out of his Cadillac, tilting the brim of his Eddy Bros Carbine wool hat against the desert sun. He wasn’t a cowboy, just a contractor chasing weekends of escape. Inside the Riviera’s smoky lounge, the Carbine gave him a quiet swagger—half Hollywood, half frontier.

Later, by the pool under string lights, Ray tipped his hat back and breathed in the desert night. In that moment, the man and the hat told the same story: freedom, confidence, and a touch of grit against the desert sky.
